About Us

We are Damon and Paul from New Zealand. We want to help you 'write your story, your way'. 

When we tried to buy 'nice' pens for work we found that there was nothing that reflected us. If you are like us, then when you buy things you want something that reflects who you are and what you are doing with your life. So we decided to make our own and what you see on this site is the end result of that. 

We decided, early on, that we wanted to do things differently to the traditional pen manufacturers from Europe, North America and Japan. We wanted to create a New Zealand brand that would combine the essence of who we are, where we come from and what we believe in.

Our products also needed to be well engineered, modern and stylish. After many discussions and lots of sketching we designed our first pen and Surrokko was born. We initially went on Kickstarter but now you can find our pens in various independent retail outlets and we also sell directly to customers around the world.
